The Center for Innovation in Mental Health (CIMH) is an academic training and research center that promotes the reach and adoption of effective mental health interventions through research, evaluation, training, and policy. CIMH engages in local and global efforts to advance mental health service and research to improve access and quality of mental health care.

The Center for Immigrant, Refugee and Global Health (CIRGH) is an interdisciplinary effort of the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. Its mission is to advance scholarship, practice and understanding of the health and related challenges faced by immigrants and refugees at local, national and global levels.

IMPLEMENTING PARTNERS

ACF is a global humanitarian organization that takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger. Their teams have been on the front lines for more than 40 years, treating and preventing malnutrition across more than 45 countries.

HAI implements programs in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and in Chicago at the Marjorie Kovler Center. HAI’s technical areas include mental health and psychosocial support, gender equity, access to justice, and stigma-free HIV prevention, care, and treatment. 

HIAS is a Jewish American nonprofit organization that works around the world to protect refugees who have been forced to flee their homelands because of who they are, including ethnic, religious, and sexual minorities. For more than 130 years, HIAS has been helping refugees rebuild their lives in safety and dignity.

TPO Uganda is a rights based NGO that works in partnership with communities, civil society, the private sector and government to empower communities to improve their mental health and socio-economic wellbeing in a sustainable way.

War Child Holland works on strengthening the resilience and well-being of children living with violence and armed conflict, acting in partnership with children and their communities to deliver interventions. Its specific focus is providing relevant mental health and psychosocial support, protection and education, as well as rapid assistance in emergency situations.

The Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis is a school for the training of social science researchers. Over the ensuing decades, the School has become one of the top-ranked schools of social work in the nation, focused on evidence-based scholarship and impact

Since 1922, the Mailman School has been at the forefront of public health research, education, and community collaboration. Addressing everything from chronic disease to HIV/AIDS to healthcare policy, the School tackles today’s pressing public health issues, translating research into action.

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is dedicated to the improvement of health for all people through the discovery, dissemination, and translation of knowledge, and the education of a diverse global community of research scientists, public health professionals, and others in positions to advance the public’s health.

The Department of Psychology at La Universidad de Los Andes, has a history of researching the relationship between MHPSS community-based programs and the impacts of war in Colombia.  Established in the 1960s, the Department has linked a diverse group of full-time professors, with doctoral studies carried out at renowned international universities, extensive teaching experience and solid research experience.
