Liliana is an international development practitioner with an MA in International Development from Georgetown University (US) and MA in Environmental Economics and Natural Resources and BS in Economics both from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). With more than 10 years of work experience in different settings including consulting, public sector, multilateral organizations, and nonprofits, she has coordinated and overviewed the identification, design, implementation and monitoring of programs and projects in sectors such as rural development, agriculture, and infrastructure. Her current role as Program Officer at HIAS, an international humanitarian aid organization, allows her to explore her passion for working with vulnerable populations, leading a research project to evaluate the impact of a psychosocial program for migrants and refugee women in Panama.
